Covid-19 update

Central Building Control Partnership is operating normally with some changes to minimise the impact of Covid-19 for our customers and staff.

We will continue to risk assess each inspection request, and will ask you a small number of Covid related questions to enable us to work out if it is safe for us to inspect. If we think it is unnecessary to inspect we will contact you over the phone to discuss the progress that you have made so far.

We will not carry out inspections where people on site have tested positive, or are isolating. We also expect customers to observe social distancing rules and wear masks in indoor environments.

In return, where we are aware, we will not send an officer who has tested positive, or should be isolating.

Our staff will also be expected to observe good hygiene between sites, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment to minimise the spread of the infection.

We may need to contact you on the day of your inspection to advise that the inspection cannot take place if the inspecting officer has tested positive, so please remember to leave a contact phone number when booking the inspection.
